100 Percent Increase in Outsourcing for Asia Pacific

The demand for outsourcing in the Asia Pacific grew strongly during the first half of 2007 when compared with the same period last year. This is in accordance to the Quarterly Index from sourcing advisers TPI. The total value of new outsourcing contacts in the US $25 million plus bracket, which is where most significant outsourcing activity occurs, is currently US $5..4 billion. This shows an increase of 100 percent over the first half of 2006. This is from a report in Businesswire. The strong Asia Pacific performance is seen in sharp contrast to the modest global increase in new businesses of just 6 percent during the first half of 2007.
